Excellent! Savor it!

One the one hand, the game definitely doesn’t give you a lot to do, at least at first. But what little you can do is very stressful!

Sweet!

Grilled up some burgers last night, which was a welcome psychological treat. So of course there’s a couple more patties to use tonight!

Made an egg sandwich for breakfast and that hit the spot after failing to shave off 0.08s from a gran turismo trial. Ugh, so close. That’ll have to wait since it’s time to start Death Stranding.

Also, scraps and ends and tops can be saved to make veggie broth.

Pro (amateur) tip: Partially cook your apple slices before baking them in the pie. This will cut down on soggy filling and you can fit way more apples into the pie since they won't shrink while baking any more. If you really want to get fancy, after pre cooking them, strain out and then boil down the released juices

Too many apples is a good problem, because applesauce is easy and tasty. One of the first times I tried to make an apple pie the crust making went so bad I settled for applesauce. Also, our dogs love apple slices. Thank you for attending my TEDx talk.

Seriously, a lot! When I think back after getting home, it feels like I had tunnel vision the whole time, always rushing to the next thing and keeping my head up scanning for other people to stay away from.

It’s stressful! We may be able to call it a first world problem but at the same time the whole set up of it, designed in the best of times, is much more stressful in the current climate.

Oh, definitely. I feel super fortunate to be able to stock up and make fewer trips out. One thing very true about all this is how this is a crisis layered on top of existing crises. Income, housing, and food security/hunger were already bad before this. My wife and I are figuring out what to do with the stimulus money

Yeah, short term plans, all the way. I realized How much a big plan like stocking up on groceries for a few weeks is nearly too much for me if I'm not careful, because I can spiral off into what ifs: what if they're out of so I, what if I forget something, is this enough to cover everything, etc. That plus trying to

Got overwhelmed by clusters simple things gone wrong in the last 24 hours, so apparently I need a little self care. Just have to make it through the anxiety of grocery shopping first.

Oh, my goodness, definitely. It’s brilliant, especially because the whole eating disorder piece could have been tone deaf and wrecked the whole thing, but since they commit to going as darkly humorous as possible on it, it works and holds up.

Overall, a fine weekend, despite ending up very tired for a bit on Friday. I rolled credits on Yakuza 5 on Saturday and wrapped up the ultimate battles Sunday morning, so that’s completely done until a future sequential series playthrough. My wife and I made great progress on a jigsaw puzzle of Dale Chihuly glasswork,

Also I'm going to be playing the new Fiona Apple album, Fetch the Bolt Cutters, all weekend because WOW.

I’m gonna do it, I’m finally gonna roll credits on Yakuza 5. Definitely doable... And then it’ll just be the climax battles, but those I can take one at a time and mix in other games. I think I’ll save the ng+ and platinum trophy for when I do a sequential order yakuza series playthrough. I’ll have to fully replay Y3

Spider Man is really, really, really good. So... Yes?

I understand the why, but are you sure you can’t delay this release, just for old times’ sake?

I’m so close to finishing Yakuza 5—just over 98% complete on all the side stuff—and it’s not helping my motivation for work. Finished the coliseum battles with Shinada last night, and then finished all the weapon crafting, then beat the (cheap as hell) Amon battles. All that’s left is doing the coliseum battles for
