I used to have the VHS, but I got rid of all of them a few years back because I could not justify keeping them when I didn’t even have a VCR lol. As much as people love to hate on all things Disney (which is valid... I have a love/hate relationship with them myself), they have to get some props for this one. Accessibility is so, so important, and the ease at which an entire new generation can be introduced to the best Cinderella is just everything.

I read the synopsis of the novella way back when this was first announced, and unless they completely changed the entire thing it won’t be.  It’s going to be heavy enough without adding colorism to it all as well.

The hate I’ve seen is so ridiculous. I’m sure he knows what Chanukah is, he just wasn’t familiar with that spelling. He probably feels pretty badly about it, and it all could’ve been avoided if the dude who sent the request had just used the more common spelling.
