Oh, the sequel is being directed by a guy who's most prominent credit is being a VFX supervisor? This is sure to turn out well.
As a former South Bend resident who once was forced to go to Muncie on business, I send my regards. As has often been alluded to in the show, there is basically nothing to do there.
Not to burst your bubble, but the Slate Spoiler Special has been on top of this for awhile now. Not sure how many "Let's analyze Serial!" podcasts I can handle, but hey, I'm all for wasting my life away listening to podcasts.

Every time a new cast member is announced, it just makes me miss the Jessica Chastain-Viola Davis-Elisabeth Moss dream version I had in my head. Oh well.
With this movie, I'm betting Amy Adams becomes the new Thelma Ritter, Deborah Kerr and Glenn Close: sixth Oscar nomination coming right up, but not counting on this role to bring her the win. She would have to be paralyzed and painting with her mouth in order to pull it off.
No doubt this news will make Jessica Chastain change her mind.

From The World According to Garp to Dead Poets' Society to Aladdin and on and on, he was such formidable part of cinematic culture for so long. Always becomes more sad when it's a suicide. He was so full of life. RIP Robin, you legend.
His dialog delivery in "In Bruges," (which is for some unknown reason still under-seen and underrated) is just pitch perfect, and the delicacy with which he plays many of his characters has always impressed me. Who needs Oscar nominations?

I'm not one to get all bent out of shape over the Oscars, but when Amy Adams didn't win for this film, I was crestfallen. Certainly one of the best performances of the aughts.
