A witness claiming that they told Paterno about their own rape isn’t circumstantial evidence. Look if you want to claim that person is lying go for it, but don’t try to minimize what was actually stated.

My guess is they figured they could keep the records sealed. I bet they argued that disclosure of the records would harm the victims, which is about the most pathetic excuse they can use all things considered.

Great question and remarkably poor insight on the part of PSU. If I had to guess, I would say they have been so powerful in their small town in rural PA and gotten away with so much for so long, they just can’t fathom how they can lose.

Changing your opinion on something based on new facts presented is something an intelligent mind does. If you were still defending PSU at this point (even before these most recent items came to light) it’s pretty safe to say you’re not in that category.
