The problem is that it's been proven that dressing modestly DOESN'T keep women and girls (or anyone else) safe from rapists, and that it sends boys, men, and abusers the wrong message when they constantly hear that women and girls need to avoid dressing a certain way in order for them not to rape.

I’m voting for the candidate whose ideologies most closely align with my own, in the hopes that a strong showing will be a message to future candidates that there is value in supporting true liberal policies.

I feel great about the election in one way: democrats are guaranteed to win. I feel sad over the fact that with a guaranteed win ahead, the party is not pushing left at all. As if if they go left the centrists will turn around and say, “Euro style healthcare?! We’re voting for the fascist!”.

This is me, except that I have a strong preference for Bernie over Hillary. However, if Hillary wins the primary (and surely she will), I am absolutely casting my ballot for her. I’m not saying that Hillary is a rabid porcupine, but I am saying that I would vote for a rabid porcupine with glee before I would opt out…

TBH it reminds me a LOT of the 2008 elections - just in the sense that everyone was fired up as hell, and they (myself included) were pretty sure that Obama was gonna ride into office on a Unicorn and fix this fucked up country.
