Technically I can control the console with Kinect, perhaps I'm only interested in playing Kinect games. Can I get Microsoft to sell me an Xbox without a controller? Maybe I'm not interested in the T.V. options, can I get them to sell me an Xbox without the HDMI-In?

Would you be so angry if the kinect was integrated into the box itself? I doubt you would be. As the article says, it's a part of the system just like the BR drive.

he's not wrong...but at the same time, I don't see why there's so much negitivity around the fact that microsoft is willing to change their policies to reflect what their customers want. Regardless of the motivation (because in the end, the motivation is ALWAYS money).

I don't have anything against the PlayStation 4 but oh I would LOVE to see it flop and then Microsoft/Nintendo take the lead and have some fun laughing at Sony.

I would love for a developer who has received several vile threats to find those people who posted them in real life, get them in a room, hand them a copy of those tweets/emails/whatever, turn on a camera to livestream it to the world, and ask them to read those threats out loud to their face.

I still think the anti-mandatory Kinect backlash was a little weird. I have a camera pointing at me on every computer I use. They're built in.

No chance. What's the point of advancing the technology and splitting the userbase? Completely removes the possibility of a dev taking advantage of the technology. PSEye will die because of this.
