Wait...what?

But do you think that maybe part of Nintendo's problem (aside from God-awful marketing) is that the WiiU can't do much more than play games?

Factoid: bluray and HD-DVD used the same frequency of laser light. It's the encoding that was different.

You mean Doritos, surely.

You'd be awesome at a rehabilitation clinic.

Gotta gets me mah cheevos.

Ah, but the PS2 also sold loads because it had a DVD drive too.

People can scoff at this comment as much as they like, but I'm genuinely interested to see how worried Sony are about the PS4 being very games focused, with little media stuff (that we've seen).

It's got their attention, but failed to coax out an answer. I think that's quite telling.

Word.

According to the article, this was said during the interview immediately after the event! Why wasn't it published a lot sooner?

But wasn't this said last Tuesday according to the above? Makes me wonder why this article wasn't published a lot sooner.

If you're doing like for like, then there's no need to add an extra cost for a controller, unless you're talking about two players in which case you need to add the same cost for the PC values.

But that argument is incomplete. Based on everything we know, Microsoft is also against blocking used games. "Block" and "charge for" are not the same thing.

What possibly brings you to that conclusion? Sounds more like hope that Sony are the lovely people you want them to be than a realistic scenario.

They may indeed dominate the hardcore, but I think you'll find that none of these controversies will affect the vast bulk of the market. Good marketing will ensure the Xbox will sell very well.

I believe there's a fee if you manage it yourself, but that fee is wholly included in the resale price at a bricks and mortar store.

I know, right?

Thank you for reporting this. I've been on th edge of my seat for hours... O_o

Online passes are NOT better for the consumer. As it stands, the MS system lays everything on the retailer. They choose the price, they also take the hit. Once you have bought the used game in store, that's it.
