Huh...double clicking causing a glitch like this? I'm surprised how this wasn't caught. Double-clicking comes naturally to most people, so how it was missed in the QA process is baffling.

I cannot disagree more. I have not seen a dev team more invested in their community, maintaining constant interaction and making changes to the core of the game based on player feedback. Not to mention the fact that they DO have nightly builds, and they take the time to explain exactly what they were working on.
Starbound has some of the worst devs out there. Before they were releasing nightly builds, there was a good 6 months without any updates or news of updates.
