He can be impeached by congress, there is precedent. However that would require a two-thirds supermajority in the Senate, which I mean... good luck.

Even if by some miracle the Democrats seize back enough control to pull this off, there is no guarantee that they have the will to go through with it. In the past,

or a smoking gun would have to come out that is compelling enough to persuade enough Republicans to join with Democrats to form a 2/3 majority, for such an effort to succeed.

So... regardless of what complaints are brought against him, he gets to keep his position? There’s literally nothing that can unseat him, aside from him leaving/retiring of his own volition..?

Pretty much any vaccine has a small percentage of people for whom it doesn’t work. (I’ve had the MMR and a rubella booster and yet I’m still not immune to rubella.) Which is why it steams me when people say, “If you’re vaccinated, why do you care if other people aren’t?” Because of the people who the vaccine doesn’t

Another example of why herd immunity is so important!

I’m also not immune to rubella - I’ve been vaccinated against it twice, but apparently my system doesn’t respond to the vaccine correctly. (Measles and mumps, yes; rubella, no.) So I also rely on herd immunity to be safe. I really, really worried about it when I was pregnant. So many people don’t understand that the

This is so infuriating. My son hasn’t been able to register for spring classes after transferring schools because we forgot to upload his vaccination records. Although I’m concerned he won’t get the courses he wants, I completely understand why they’ve locked his account.

“were of the family philosophy not to vaccinate.”

:( It is unbelievably frustrating to already be in a difficult environment (for me: inner city school) and there are people there making it more difficult on purpose just to serve their own selfish goals.

I work at a for profit mental health facility. You just described my work environment. Like to a T.

My last year, I remember of having fantasies of having a car accident, not too bad, just bad enough that I could bow out for a few weeks or even the rest of the semester. I knew that was a BAD line of thought. Don’t let yourself get to that level. Maybe you can find a sliding scale therapist near you, if just to vent.

This is not the article for you, friend.

I am in my 22nd year of teaching. While raises pay the mortgage, more than anything I would want more support for special education and English Language Learners (our district doesn’t even have an EL department any more and we have a TON of English Learners, we are in SO Cal!). I also really wish there was better and

If you think the amount of work teachers do outside of school hours is overstated here, you don’t know any teachers.

Public education is an investment in the future of our society.

I’m a teacher. I’ve been a teacher for a long time. My experience is only in an urban setting so I can only speak from that, but here is my two cents:

A lot of people don’t realize that most of a teacher’s work takes place outside of a classroom, and half of that work is bureaucratic/admin bullshit.

Allow me to indulge in an unhinged rant:

Weird. It’s almost as if teachers might stick around longer if they were paid adequately for the demands on their time.

I mean ... why have a separate Echo Speaker (which takes up counter space) and wall clock at all? Why not build the smart speaker features INTO THE CLOCK.
