What kinda freaks me out is that a lot of my students, particularly my students that I consider to be more citizens of the internet than citizens of the real world, are SUPER into these. It makes me wonder how much real human contact they’re getting. 

It sorta puts me in a pleasant trance, but it’s kinda funny- as someone who has randomly had an ASMR reaction before, it hasn’t been whispery voices that did it.

It’s *nuts* how quickly they went downhill. I sew, so I can tell some quality details that others might miss, and their old dresses were amazing- metal lapped zippers, bra strap clips, etc etc.

Personally experiencing, at a young age, a power structure where you’re supposed to do as you’re told is more likely to make one attracted to authoritarians, I’d imagine. I doubt it’s the battle that does it, but more the training.
