I mean, I think that’s what we all assumed, and I was but an naive  young high school kid at the time. My suggestion was for clearing up the meaning if it was, indeed, innocent.

Well, if you can come up with a one-syllable word that is more correct, I invite you to share your better idea with me. Maybe “See?” That one would have made for a good Sesame Street Britney cameo.

Noooo! I think there are some eps on youtube, if that helps =) Good luck!

I’m just wondering why they couldn’t have changed the word to “Call” if that’s what it meant? Like, couldn’t you tell the songwriter, “Hey, that’s not what that means,” and he’d say, “Oh, cool, yeah, change that!”

My kid went through a phase where the grocery store involved a full on-the-floor meltdown in the first aisle for about one minute, then she’d stand up and be SUPER PLEASANT for the rest of the trip.

Can you get it on DVD? I think of Netflix and the library as places where I can see what my toddler’s into for movies/books and then we buy from there, or suggest it to my mother-in-law who is going to buy crap anyway so it might as well be things our kiddo likes.

Everyone needs to stop with “She’s doing the RIGHT THING by getting HEALTHY!” line of thought. What we know (if LW is accurate) is that she’s “fiercely controlling her diet,” doing fairly extreme to the point of questionably healthy exercise, and showing general displeasure with her own body (plastic surgery), and chan

I got a REAL vibe that she’s dealing with mental health issues of her own- severely restricted diet, extreme sports, plastic surgery, abrupt lifestyle change- each one on their own isn’t necessarily a bad sign, but taken together seems like she was going through shit that maybe should have been dealt with in therapy.

To add to your point: The 50% thing also included second, third, fourth (and up!) marriages. So, in the older generation of my family, we have about a 50% split, but a lot of that is chalked up to my uncle and my grandfather getting married multiple times and never making it work.

I have a co-worker who, after her first, got an IUD, and she and her husband still used protection.

Agreed (and I have a kid). It’s not crazy to want to have certain things in place (career, finances, etc). HOWEVER. If you, as a couple, really want kids, and you don’t have a clear timeline for when those things will be achieved, then it’s not a good reason. Either get a timeline or just say “fuck it” and go.

People keep saying “Healthy Eating,” but what *he* said was “fiercely controlling her diet” which sounds like kind of the opposite of healthy to me. Combined with the plastic surgery and extreme fitness (marathon running isn’t good for you compared to most other workouts).

1-1.8 is the worst time for parents (or whatever walking to some safety awareness is for your kid). It *does* get way, way better.

Eh, it depends on the age of the kids. Your fears will likely be met (though not in ways you expect) in the first two years.

Have you tried the America’s Test Kitchen Multicooker book? Those seem to work perfectly in our 8 quart.

I think the article was confusing on that point- I *think* what it’s trying to say is that she started dating him at 16, he was 33, and his daughter was 8. Then, at the time of his death, she was 23, he was 40, and his daughter was 15.

I just love how, even in the kiss scene, it’s done so...realistically? Like, everything’s picture-perfect, but she’s kinda stumbling on the grass, and almost chickens out at the last minute before he dives in.

It’s his bad haircut, not antisemitism.

I get the “YOU were let in! Fuck! You did what you’re scared of!” sentiment, but it comes with a side of, “And it DID destroy a culture and way of life much to the detriment of the natives; you’re right in that way, white nationalists!”

Buddy, I have. Thus me knowing that modern immigration is very different from immigration back then.
