They were funny jokes. There is no system of oppression against white people in our country, so stop with the whole “We’ll be the minority” thing. Yeah, we’ll be the BIGGEST minority for a long time.

While it’s different from Gunn, I think the “intentionally taking things that were written as jokes the wrong way” vibe is similar here. Like, there is absolutely no reason to believe that Gunn is actually a pedophile, nor is there any reason to believe that Jeong is a racist.

Racism is support for institutions that hold down specific races. There are no specific institutions to hold back white people, especially in the US, so it’s virtually impossible to be racist against white people. One can be bigoted against them, but not racist.

Why should she have to delete these? Other than avoiding being the target of trolls, I mean? I can see not tweeting them from an official account or after you get hired by a publication with serious twitter rules, but these aren’t bad at all...

She *can’t* be racist. Racism is supporting a system of oppression. There is no white people system of oppression. She’s making what are obviously jokes about white people, who deserve to be the butt of jokes sometimes.

Since when were editorials supposed to be unbiased? The whole *point* is that they’re biased, unlike the rest of the news.

I think he can, as long as he or members of his administration do not stand to personally gain? I seem to remember some sort of Obama book club, but that might be currently going on.

How ‘bout we have a national holiday like...Election Day?

Here’s my thing: Even for Christians, there are MULTIPLE HOLIDAYS THAT WEEK. Like, saying “Happy Holidays” is mostly just extending the goodwill from Dec 25-Jan 1.

If you have kids, you’ll lie to them more than you think you will. Just today I told my two-year-old that she had to get into the car seat, or bugs would get into the car. I mean, possibly?

Stand-ins often don’t look much like the person they’re subbing in for. My cousin did stand-in work for child actors back in the day, and he looked *nothing* like them. He also did stand-in work for multiple kids on the same set, and the kids looked nothing alike. It was cheaper to buy multiple wigs than to hire

I’m pretty sure restaurant mom isn’t reading this comment section.

No, it’s not. One is saying “Her actions in the present day are immature and don’t deserve attention.” The other is saying, “That person doesn’t deserve respect because she once had sex on camera.”

Part 1 and part 2 are totally different arguments.

THERE SHOULD BE! (I type when in the past 24 hours my toddler spit out some pasta, crying, because she got a piece with red pepper on it).

I mean, that sounds like a really specific special need. Most babies can (and should) be eating chopped up real foods from a pretty early age (like, by 1).

As if regular Mac N Cheese is super flavorful? This is what I’m angry about with Gerber. They’re feeding into our natural fears (will my kid choke on this?) and making it so our kids just live on mush for WAY too long, and only feed kids sugar. I have a co-worker who would take those sugar pellet things and *cut them

I think, as with any addiction, it’s *very* hard for people to say, “This is making me feel bad, I should step away.”

Hey, were you in my class that day? =)

I mean, it isn’t really that hard to see if something’s on the menu. I’ve brought backup food a lot of times for my kid, then left it in my purse when I found something we could work with on the menu, because that’s what restaurants are for.
