For a guy who seems genuinely enthusiastic and articulate, his films are so aggressively juvenile and simplistic.  It’s an odd contrast.

That “generic SF photoshoot warehouse” set needs to be bulldozed, stat.

Big “here are some guys” energy from that cast photo.

Hey look, Quesada is still a fucking moron.

This is a hilarious instance to get upset about what you’re claiming though. Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is already a deliberate attack on the straight white male protagonist. Scott Pilgrim is not a likable character (that was a big part of why I had mixed feelings about the movie). The point is that he’s a selfish

Nah, this was made for the fans and the fans wanted to see more content from all their favourite characters.

Nah, it was actually great, and a majority of the criticism comes from people who can’t process stories they don’t immediately relate to.

People incapable of character growth hate character growth.

That is certainly an opinion, but it might change had you actually played his games. Regardless of his methodology and justification for some out-there ideas, his titles are technical marvels and quite ground breaking for the medium. I’m not defending the man, but to put down the games, their footprint on the industry

You certainly managed to draw a lot of conclusions about games that are 100+ hours long without actually playing them, based entirely on very small amounts of information. Clearly, we have found our new authority on the subject.

the fact that folks are upset about a line that is really just there for the ittiest bittiest of context and is not at all the point of the article is just baffling
