I've never known a Notre Damer who doesn't reek of insecurity about their school. Seriously, they can't go 5 minutes without pathologically having to tell you how good of a school it is. I happen to agree, it's a great school. I'd have to say it's in the top 20 safety schools you go to if you can't get into an Ivy.

Try buying or selling a used e-book. How about sharing one with a friend?

All of her reviews are AMAZING. I couldn't stop reading them. She mentions in every single one that she has 'allergies' to gluten and dairy, so maybe she got the vegan caesar cause it's dairy-free? Although regular Caesar dressing is dairy-free, too…..I don't know. I don't know what one can expect from a person who

You can zoom on ComiXology, sure, but again we're talking resolution-dependent. With the quality of print these days, you can get much better detail with the print version of a comic. It also depends on the device you're using to view said comic. Digital comics work best when specifically designed for the medium.

Nope, still a broader selection of print books, even with the shovelware releases presently happening. You may have to hunt for some title, but there's hundreds of years of output since Gutenberg's first bible rolled off of the press (I'll be generous and ignore the pre-printing press days in this case.)

Jesus. That's fucking brutal. I can't even make a joke. Just a goddamn shitty thing to do to someone at their own graduation.

It deserved better. Tapes were smaller, and better sound too.

Cosby then proceeded to talk to the entire athletic department about the best ways one goes about covering up rape charges. Advice that proved to be quite useful several years later.

I respect him even more now for his stance on the BSA and gay leaders.

Beans do! I'm vegan so I know this stuff. And talk about constantly at parties. It's what we do. Can't help it. So you should never invite one of us anywhere again, unless it's to the Return It Depot, since that's our mecca.

I suggest having a firm "one and done" rule—you use the word fag in my house? You're not welcome. You spew anti-choice crap? Goodbye. It'll be awkward but feel so god damn good. And he won't come back next year!

And when the power goes out? When the storage medium fails? When the format is obsolete? When somebody drops an EMP on your data center? Electronic data is exceedingly volatile. *All* data storage is volatile — books, after all, can be burned.

The volatility of electronic data, however, isn't being significantly reduced. Physical books have been around in one form or another for thousands of years...and they'll handily survive an EMP that can take out a data center or ten.

Well, he met her through a friend who also had a mail order bride from the Ukraine. And he could tell she really loved him because she her interpreter wrote him such lovely emails. Mind you, she was younger than his daughter (and before he moved his MOB out here, he told his 32 year old daughter that she should get

Nope. I have an ereader and a tablet and software on the computer, and despite my increasing use of all that, I still buy books. I have very good reasons for buying books, and lining my walls with bookcases for them.

That, and Beta had less play/record time per cassette, short enough that originally a movie wouldn't fit. However, they were sufficiently bullet proof and the play-back quality was better so they were preferred for industrial/commercial use. If you saw video at a trade show you usually saw it on one of these. The

Her VEGAN Caesar salad WITH CHICKEN.

Undeserved nostalgia is an interesting concept. Nostalgia is such a personal thing. I love vinyl records. I have no idea if it sounds better, if it preserves different tones than different methods, if it will last a million years if I take care of it. I don't know and I don't really care. When I play a vinyl record I

It was an early example of the technologically superior format (so it was claimed at the time) losing to the more popular one. But the reason for that was because it was also an early example of Sony's continued insistence on proprietary formats, to their detriment.

Pre-industrial farming. The more actual farming a person has done in their life, the less they are likely to have this particular nostalgia.
