My family took care of foster children who were victims of abuse, neglect, and pretty much anything you could think of. It's unfortunately, an epidemic in our country and I've seen it's destruction in real life. Kids don't come out of it better, they come out worse.

Al I have to say is, men who were abused or witnessed their mother being abused as a child are TWICE as likely to commit the same abuse as adults. Now take "I was beaten and turned out fine" comments, and GET THE FUCK OUT.

I saw this live [one of the rare occasions I actually watch the show] and I was both amazed and moved by CC. Dude spoke truth at a level no one else on that panel could keep up with and I'm proud of him for being big enough to put his heart out there like that.

I'm glad he said those things. No one should hit a child. I'm sorry but if you spank, slap, punch or use any physical abuse on a small human being who has no way of defending him or herself you have failed as a parent.
