asshole thoughtful coworker brought in apple fritters which are one of my biggest vices. I added an extra mile to my lunchtime run to make up for it. The “feels like” temp is already 97. Now my stomach and my muscles feel like crap. Worth it. Anyway, what’s for lunch Oppo?
My 2013 Outback is now all mine. This is the first time that I’ve held the title to a car that I bought new in my hands. Through a comedy of errors at the PA DMV we never actually got a copy of the title to the Fit we bought new in 2008 and ended up trading it in on the this Outback without one. This feels good.
It’s a beautiful day to fly. Good thing because I have 3 flights to take today. Looks like MD-80, 767, then A321.
I’m such a sucker for car-related swag that I gave my info to Chevy to get these cheap Chevy sunglasses.
Today I watched two cars in a row back out of parking spaces directly into this parked FedEx truck. This is why I park as far away from everyone else as practical. Anyway, here’s a sweet clown shoe Z3 with a roof rack I saw a little later.
There is an Aztec that looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor parked across the street from my parents’ house right now. Words escape me.
American has been phasing out MD-80's, but they aren’t all retired yet - I’m on one right now. The A321 that I was on before this was objectively nicer in most ways, but I’ll miss these big windows.
Images below from top to bottom: R35 GT-R, Wagon Guy’s Boostang, 240Z, Bugeye, Stalker AXR, Exocet(!), 2.5RS, Tacoma, S2000 with fangs, ‘68 Mustang, new GT350, Odyssey, VW dune buggy, another ‘68 Mustang, SHO (the new style), and an Elise that I missed seeing actually on course, and finally a very happy looking W30
Someone is autocrossing an Odyssey right now.
Just paid off the loan on my 2013 Outback 8 months ahead of schedule. This is the first time I’ve fully paid off a car that I bought brand new. Feels good. Will feel even better when that title comes in the mail.
Swung by the dealer to pick up a washer nozzle for my Foz (yes, the nozzle failed on my ‘14) and they had 2 of the 500 yellow BRZ’s. I’m gonna need a minute.
Yes, that’s an OEM brown on brown vinyl roof ‘71-73 Mustang Grandé just out commuting with new Civics and stuff. (Per K-Roll, this one is a 1973.)
Just a random gratuitous 2JZ post because my coworker is working on relocating the battery tray in our parking lot over lunch.
Hon hon hon...
First of all, H/T and congrats to LongbowMkII who ran his Yaris and came in 3rd in class! I came out mainly to see his runs and was thrilled with the cars - come on in for: the Yaris, an M2, an STS, that Buick, 3 gens of Miatas, a 944, a W123, several Subarus & more. Limited data plans consider yourself warned.
I’m currently working on a full photo dump, but just in case it doesn’t get done this afternoon, I wanted to make sure I left this here...
