I’ve thought that for a while, the non-fiction account of the Trump years would be completely unbelievable if they were fiction.

Roger Stone is known to be gregarious, but it is quite unlikely that Stone’s close personal friend just happens to be the business manager for Bezos’s mistress. It is quite likely that Stone has exactly the sort of friend/associate who would gladly pimp his own sister for political gain.

It’s bankable political credit for Trump. He can use it to play to his base, as they love it when he attacks black people, especially black celebrities, or he can use it to pretend to be generous and business savvy guy if he pardons him or otherwise intervenes on his behalf. Or he can do both.

A cop who wants to escalate this kind of situation shouldn’t be a cop, and shouldn’t be allowed to own a gun.
