RE: Duty to protect, see:

I played Infinite Crisis for a bit. One day I was sort of drunk, a teammate and I were fighting an enemy on a capture point. My teammate died, but I thought it was the opponent.

“you’re obviously bad at it and have soft skin”

I didn’t have people telling me to quit and uninstall the VERY first time i played Overwatch, CoD, WoW etc.

Took longer than I expected for one of you to show up.

The game isn’t bad, the game is gorgeously made and well-polished, the community is the cancer. It’s why I’ve only been playing Heroes of the Storm since it came out.

Counterpoint: All of the alternate methods you mentioned do one of two things:

He absolutely could and should do all of things you’re suggesting - but look at the massive and ridiculous reaction he’s gotten with one small act. This is actually an effective protest, it’s gotten people talking, it’s made them mad and it’s making them uncomfortable.

I just feel like he has a platform that most don’t

She did not admit that she was wrong:

I think she should be able to work again, but a communications professor blocking journalists from a public area and saying bring some muscle (a threat) is a very, very, very bad look. That and her non-apology, I know I sure as hell wouldn’t want her working for any department I was involved with.

She is trash. If she held conservative opinions people here would be clamoring for her to be beheaded.
