So...it’s not cheating even though he removed the RNG element that everyone else has to deal with and allowed himself to play static levels over and over until he perfected them? Yeah, okay Barry.
They’re raised by parents who teach them winning is the only reward in life and that any win is meritorious despite the dubious means to obtain the win.
Scammers target people who are susceptible to scams. And they’ve been doing it for centuries, so they’ve gotten very good at it.
I am realising I’m in the minority here, but I really liked the ending as a proper series finale type finish.
For sure, but it’s probably not just because of how much dialogue there is.
Actually, the lightning for me ended up enhancing things further, because it reminded me so much of The Prisoner.
Don’t agree at all, there are a lot of great performances (particularly the lead), sound is great, and both set and costume design are fantastic. It’s all very colorful and stylized. The one gripe for TV cheapness would be cameras and lighting, but I’ll take something more interesting shot a little more cheaply over…
That may be true, but no more so than any grand strategy game set in the early 20th Century could appeal to racists by letting them create their own Thousand Year Reich. Scum/creeps are going to find ways to get their scum/creep on no matter what.
If you think the US is in denial, you should see some French history books in school. Basically slavery existed only at the hand of Europeans, and benefitted Europeans and American only. Even the law of recognition published couple of years ago excluded the African and Arabian slave trade altogether, and I quote our…
Its not really though. My Stellaris empires make extensive use of slaves (in particular Domestic Servants and Chattel Slaves) because there are no appreciable downsides. The slaves don’t have any political power, and they tend to be easy to keep down with 1 or 2 upgraded enforcer buildings (or a Psi-Ops building). I…
It was counter-productive in Victoria II, to the point where in almost all gameplay situations you were better off abolishing it, and it sounds like that’ll be the case here again as well.
I mean, it’s a politically charged issue in the contemporary world in that in the US specifically there seems to be a heck of a lot of denialism still. And in that context it seems like the risk would be that if they make you roleplay as a ruler you’d end up defending the institution actively in some scenarios.
The current rule is pretty much what you said: you’re not safe. The game got permission to include the music for personal use, but as a streamer you’d need to also get independent permission to broadcast it. A nice trend in some games over the last few years is to include a ‘streamer mode’ option in the sound…
I’m more concerned about what happens when games have radios in them that play copywrited music. Like, I understand we can’t play music in the background while doing stuff, that is a no-brainer... but I guess if I’m playing a game without stream safe music on the radio, I’m just screwed? There needs to be rules put…
It’s gone on so long that I honestly don’t remember if I gave them some of my money.
#banslideshows
ditto for me
They have the “choice” of working at once abusive corporation, or at another. And before you point out a handful of small companies that behave better, let me point out that those companies aren’t hiring enough people for everyone working at a studio to just quit and go work there, nor do those smaller companies make…
And so you have to respect that these guys know how to create incredible games on reasonable timelines, and not just assume that a culture of working very hard is a bad thing.
