Taking that many tools home every night just because you fear you won’t be allowed back/not paid enough the next day is not rational in this type of wprk. Sure if you’re a software developer and have to take only your computer, but mechanic with 100k worth of tools? Impractical.

Youtube reviewers that are not paid by car companies have helped out a lot with narrowing down my wants vs needs.... it also helps when they break down why you shouldn’t pay 30k premium to get a three pointed star, 4 olympic rings, or bavarian circle, to get the options available on others for less...
The three times I’ve bought a new car by “browsing”, I’ve left with the “I think I just got fucked” feeling.... So now.... I do all my research before hand...adjust the requirements, needs vs wants. Do a little study on branding and “Why pay premium?”... predict when I’ll need a car... and have minimum interaction…
