LoL.....Yeah, but people will still buy them for the looks...and then try to sell them 3 yrs down the road... or lease them... and then almost immediately regret it. Or buy/lease and then go about defending the brand for the length of their ownership cycle...

You’re right. VW won’t be able to touch this segment for at least (am I lying? 10 years). If you go to Subaru and shop Outback and that turns out to be expensive... you can always go Forester...

I guess... I’ve never seen it as a premium brand... It never felt like it. Coming from the Chrysler family, I always thought the Hierarchy was in this order Plymouth->Dodge->Chrysler and Jeep as a stand-alone built on off-road capabilities. It might have changed after Daimler bought them out, but for a brand that has

It was a bit naive... and as mentioned before, they probably did it to make people feel good about driving a 4cyl and not a 6 cyl. We also went there after we test drove other manufacturers who all have put in a Turbo in a 4 cylinder... So... yeah...a mistake.

We test drove it, and the dealer said that they’ve been selling the upscale models quite a lot... I’ve also checked the nearby dealer inventory... and it’s constantly changing. Anything SX at a KIA is heaven to drive... and to tell you the truth...that’s the only way I’d have a KIA/Hyundai

Neutral: Will Anyone Buy A Chevy Bolt?

You’re right... once you get into Overland and Summit price ranges, you can go over to the brands that offer the badge and comfort, like the Q7 and GLE. Koreans have been moving their vehicles up the premium scale, and with their ambitions, the consumer wins, both with comfort, looks and reliability.

There’s no way in hell that the 4 cyl will hit 35 mpg. At best, it’s rated for 29 mpg. That thing is too heavy and under powered to ever get 35mpg.

never looked at it that way...

They need to get rid if that transmission. We test drove the 4 cyl Cherokee and it didn’t have any balls going up the hill. The transmission is anything but smooth ad it was constantly looking for the right gear. Thus new jeep looks good but what is the reliability like. Other CUVs in its segment are cheaper and more

You’re right... I had to step back and talk myself from further responses..

I don’t care about your experience, and I made a generalization, just like you did about others. If you want to live in this world, you’re going to have to abide by the laws you made.

CP or NP.... NP all day long... I can tell my friends I had a Ferrari... and it did what it was designed to do...

Oh cool... Founding Fathers...you mean those slave owning, adulterous white guys that made this nation what it was? The 13 colonies? As a former refugee, now a US Citizen, and a Combat Veteran. I’m pretty tired of people that stand in line for their handout, and once they get it... they’ll do anything to stop others

What about the bean counters that had to make this profitable any way possible. The more I see how this company treated/treats employees as cannon fodder...I will not be going back to them for anything...no VW or Audi. It’s leaving a bad taste in my mouth.... that TDI can’t leave my driveway fast enough.

Would this be a good replacement for a TDI? Asking for a friend..

Nope... I know a lot of people that own them... and they’re constantly at HD Dealer getting something done. It’s cheaper to learn from other peoples mistakes..

different strokes for different folks. I weighted all my options when buying a cruiser, and didn’t feel like paying premium for the brand and not the product.

You’re correct. I had to look back on the CR website.

Oh... damn... Rudy Giuliani is still alive....
