A photo of a woman on her knees cleaning = support for Trump. I guess she’s staying on brand..

It’s so pathetic that I would feel sorry for him if he wasn’t so dangerous and hateful. There’s a lonely 12 year old in there somewhere.

Why? Because he’s so very desperate for the approval of the lamestream media and all of the elites he pretends to scorn.

So more than 40 Trump supporters then reportedly showed up at the Starbucks, in Dilworth, N.C., to order coffee and talk to the manager and baristas.

Why oh why did you cast him in a critical role JK Rowling, a role that will last over a decade...

So, is the sum of this that they would have protected him and his abusive ways if he hadn’t filed suit? As much shit as Amber Heard took when she left him and said he abused her, she could have used as many people in her corner as possible. It’s disappointing that money trumped her safety.

Some of the positive movement I have seen is having more women at the Producer/EP Level involved. It doesnt stop the horrific aspect of wanting actresses to be thin, however, recently when this has been brought up the EP and Writer were quick to shut it down. Unfortunately, the pressure happens way before, in the

“I can’t say I’ve ever seen a story that doesn’t glamourise it - if nothing for the fact that having beautiful actors who are often barely two steps away from an eating disorder themselves.”

I won’t minimize your struggle with this by offering false platitudes that I think sound good, and I wont disrespect you by saying that I understand what it is you have been through. I will say that even though we are strangers, I admire those who have struggled, so I admire and empathize with where you are coming

Christian Bales, Matthew McConaughey, and several other actors have done it too. They both took it way too far, imo. Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis went pretty far for Black Swan. Can only hope that they had some one monitoring their physical AND Psychological states. Looks to me like Rooney Mara never bounced back

ABSOLUTELY - her hair was the first thing that caught my eye. Let’s see some damaged hair, face fuzz, no energy, embarassment over ketosis breath. But nah, a gorgeous girl with a waterfall of hair and luminous skin.

I also always wonder who these anorexia movies are for, as they often push the “beautiful tortured thing girl” stereotype and let me tell you, anorexia sufferers feed off this. These kinds of movies are never cautionary tales, they’re actually very triggering and encouraging.

right? I just read that she lost 22lbs for the role and also suffered from an eating disorder as a teen and I don’t know how to feel about that

Given her history, I can’t believe an insurance company would agree to cover this casting for the film.

Dangit, you did get here before me! But it is a complicated issue. Research has shown (oh yes, I’m going there) that when eating disorders are seen as powerful challenges that can be overcome it makes it seem as though eating disorders are one struggle that can make you “find yourself.” So people WITHOUT eating

I’d like to become emaciated. In the healthiest way possible.

People can do whatever they want to do, especially for their art, but this strikes me as so dangerous — akin to a heroin addict working with medical professionals to do heroin again after they’ve recovered, “for professional reasons”.

Yeah, how do you square the suffering of people who have eating disorders with the fictional portrayal of an eating disorder, which requires losing weight?

I’m struck by the ethical question of having someone lose such extreme amounts of weight for a story about eating disorders, especially given that extreme diets are a risk factor for developing disordered eating.
