That’s okay - scenes can blend together sometimes! 😊

Gods I hated that episode. Hated the show by that point.
They gave up on that whole ‘only so many regenerations left’ thing, much to my dismay. I wanted to see the Valeyard, but noooo.
😂 I remember Geordie getting beat up by a turbo lift... I don’t remember Worf getting beat up by the lifts, though. Was it in one of the films? I’ve only seen those films once and I absolutely loathed them - so if it was in that I’d probably not remember.
I did. I just kinda hate Troi and Worf, so. You know. 😝
Hey, a man has come out and said Depp abused Heard - maybe now people will be more likely to believe it. 😒
TROI, mate. Troi. Even with the extra powers granted, she’d still be less strong than most of the crew.
Like... Troi broke his wrist. Even if she was taken over by an alien entity, TROI broke his wrist. Worf is not exactly a toughy.
I kind of love it. Never been a big SW fan, and this story does totally fit my view of Bill Pullman.
I was there last week - that makes so much sense! Of course Norfolk.
The filmmaker notes that it’s only “semi-autobiographical”—so you can rest assured that the thing with the giant, laser-blasting robots probably didn’t happen.
As I speak no Spanish, I do agree that if you’re going to bring in a language at least do it correctly. I’m wondering if 1) did they use a google translate for it or 2) Do you think they did it on purpose as a joke for those who did speak Spanish of ‘look how stupid these people are’?
And I can completely see how no matter what the intention, the optics alone make it glamorous....I think as the years go on, that I think about whether or not it would be exploitative enters into the equation.
First, let me thank you for your very respectful and kind response. You showed great thoughtfulness, and I would like to thank you for that - it’s a wonderful and rare thing on message boards sometimes! So thank you for that, I genuinely was shocked at the kindness and respect you’ve shown.
It was very personal to Tracey Gold in a variety of anorexia/bulimia movies I saw growing up, and actually it just taught me how to hide my eating disorders better.
Oh honey, I feel your pain. Also a former child model here, anorexia was basically a way of life for years. Agree with all you’ve said. Hope you’re doing okay.
Actually, you want to know what made my eating disorder worse as a kid? Watching Tracey Gold in For the Love of Nancy. Like this it was made by a former anorexic/bulimic in order to show the dangers of eating disorders All it did was give me goals for how I wanted to look and ideas on how to get away with it in front…
Agreed. I think all this does in the end is glamourise it. And I say this as someone who has dealt with all of this in the past.
So very much. Thank you.
Ugh. They’ve already ruined Sherlock for me, sure, go ahead, take the only damned vampire I actually like.
