Yeah - they’re both kind of rip offs of Firefly, but in different ways. Dark Matter is more visible in the characters and Kill Joys is more visible in the plots.

I’m trying really hard to fight my negative tendencies here. Yes, DUP are monstrous - but on the flip side, NI has been dealing with the lunatics of DUP for ages and now and ignored by the UK as a whole: this has put DUP front and centre to the rest of the UK and expose them for the horror that they are. So hopefully

Elmo from Sesame Street was also there, because of course he was.

As I’ve been in UK for almost a decade, I’ve been tasked with trying to explain to my brother what’s happening right now. He’s a bit bewildered with all of this.

Nah, I’m under 40 (barely) so maybe I’m a bit old too but I think the interviewer was definitely cringey.

Maybe she felt like saying it? I mean, for the last few years, she’s been ‘that girl who went crazy and set fires when she had a meltdown’. Maybe she just wanted to take control over her image and finally say ‘yeah, I’m okay, I’m here. Hi. I’m not that girl anymore.’ I have never been a massive fan of her films and

I’ve always liked her, she seems like a decent kid. I am so happy to see she’s doing better - I hope she stays that way.

😂 Thank you for indulging my rant ;)

😂 it’s true, though- I tried so hard! There wasn’t one moment where I went ‘Oooooh that’s interesting, let’s see where they’re going with this.’

They had some big problems with resetting and fake outs. I’ve had the same complaints about Star Trek - they do something really interesting like have Picard turned into a Borg and then have one damned episode after where he’s struggling with it immediately after, only to occasionally mention it once or twice a series

Yep - people enjoy the misery porn of shows like BSG because they’re so well written you just have to keep watching. But when you have dreadful characters, cringey writing, bad actors and it’s grim on top of that just for the sake of being grim, there’s just no point for me.

I see the point you’re trying to make, and I agree to a point - but BSG was also fantastically written - and for me SGU was absolutely no BSG.

Fair enough. For me, the camp was what worked about SG1. And I hated most of the actors on Universe. Carlyle was the only one I thought was a decent actor, and even he seemed frustrated in that show. Just my take.

😂 Fair enough! I’m a geek. My dream morning involves Dame Diana Rigg in a beautiful 3-pc suit stepping out of a blue police box and offering me and my dog a chance to get off this planet and go to new worlds and never come back! 🖖

Yeah the Ori was just... that was a bad call. I honestly feel like they should have just ended it. I much prefer shows that know when to quit than shows that keep carrying on without anything to them. I’d have actually preferred they end with ‘Full Circle’ in end of series 6, as everything else after that feels like a

I’m definitely pro-scientists, and can certainly understand the appeal it had for you. I’m glad you enjoyed it - mine wasn’t a comment of ‘everyone should agree with me about how much I dislike this show!’ and just a ‘I’m glad others enjoyed it but I truly don’t get the appeal’ comment. I want to see scientists and

I agree. When it comes to getting me interested n shows, there are two ways to attract me: either with really interesting stories that I have to keep watching, or characters I really adore and want to keep seeing. If you give me both, you have a loyal viewer who will stick through the show.

I know there are a lot of people who really love this show, and I’m glad for the people who do love it that they’ll get a resolution, but I have never understood the appeal for it. I really did try, I did. I hated everything about it.

People already have things like this in their homes, that Amazon Echo thing. So stop trying to demonise them for keeping up with what other people are already doing. I get it, it’s a joke article, blah blah, but jokes are usually funny, and this one doesn’t meet the scratch.
