I never saw Buzz as a stab at a Facebook killer. It really isn't that facebookish, it is more like a different flavor of twitter. One with a coffee aftertaste.

@nosebleed: I know it's meme now, but in the photo I see he is actually NOT holding the phone wrong. The gap that is in question in on the lower left corner of the phone, and he does not appear to be touching that at all, one hand operation of the phone in the right hand does not touch that part.

The comparison I would use would be, "its like calling a noisy call center, and getting somebody with english as a second language. You might ask for help with firefox but get instructions on how to install IE8"

@mecha2142: That person claims a 1 foot drop. I honestly doubt it was really only 1 foot. Plus, the distance is a minor factor. Velocity of the impact point and the size of the impact point is really all that matters. If the phone was spinning enough then the vertical velocity would be immaterial.

@bobbobato: Consumers are given a choice between looks and strength. You can easily buy MANY available cases out there for the phone.

@metronome49: You can tell he is SuperVillian smart because he is wearing gloves. Not antenna shorting for HIM!

@mecha2142: I don't have to say the guy should be more careful. It is just a risk you take when buying a really expensive piece of equipment almost entirely encased in glass and choosing not to protect it in any way.

@ss3: Not all cases insulate the battery. Bumper does not as it is not really a case, but a band.

@Purple Dave: In WB defense, Babylon 5 composite shots were pretty awful to start with. Some pretty bad effects shots in that show.

@minibeardeath: I had a parent of a friend who got so used to the short fat people that she would NOT believe me when I tried fixing their TV and swore that I messed up her TV by stretching everyone out vertically.
