I thinkNatalie Portman’s outfit, which includes a cape embroidered with the names of snubbed women directors, deserves more than an “it’s fine” brush off.

Every time Jezebel runs a piece on Cardi B, I wonder WTF is wrong with Jezebel. She’s a garbage person.

Cardi B, noted drugger of people, violent attacker of women, transphobe, and also ... noted recipient of dozens of fawning articles on Jezebel, which mention none of those things.  What is it about Cardi B that seems to keep her from being "cancelled"?

Bloodthirsty? He gets to live, doesn’t he? He gets to wake up every morning, breathe the air, eat food, and enjoy whatever happiness the circumstances of his life may allow. Again, far more than can said for his victim.

In return for the death sentence he gave his girlfriend, it’s justice. This isn’t some kid who just “made a mistake” or “had a juvenile lapse of judgement.”

Having a few beers at an after-prom party and then driving a car is a “juvenile lapse of judgement.” A teen might not be able to fully comprehend the possible

It’s v trendy in Progressive circles to 100% hate all cops (and I say this as a Progressive). I think we can acknowledge a *pressing* need to overhaul the system while also acknowledging that some people become cops bc they are interested in investigation, forensics, and/or crime solving

I don’t hear fans saying the show started bad.  I hear them saying that the show was really great so long as the writing was coming from Martin, and once the writers had to actually write the story themselves it all went to shit.

He wrote about their stories in his articles. This is his story about how people were trying to keep those articles from being published.  That’s an important story as well.

But he already wrote that story. He won a Pulitzer for it. This was the one about how other powerful men enabled abusing women and tried to silence his work.

Except this book is about all the people who were paid to line up and protect HW & Matt Lauer & Donald Trump & Bill Clinton - and while it covers the tremendous abuse these women faced, it is about the lengths that people (men & WOMEN!) went to to protect the abusers....I still don’t understand the push back.

It seems pretty clear to me that in the course of reporting the Weinstein story - which was presumably first a piece for NBC TV, which by necessity morphed into a print article when it moved to The New Yorker - a second story started to emerge. It’s literally in the title of this book, “Catch & Kill.” Killing Farrow’s

The book is about NBC killing the story and Farrow trying to get it published.

That guy sounds like an insufferable incel.  I don’t think his letter is fake, but he’s certainly a nut.

Big yikes on that shit right there. Did you tip your fedora before, after, or during the time you were writing this?

just LIKE a disgruntled customer? They ARE a disgruntled customer.

Yeah I was a little bummed I had to read so far down to find out why she was “really” being evicted. I mean seems to be like her living situation was completely hinging on her landlords good will, and that ran out. I mean based on how things sound, she is going to fall up from this situation with her gofundme.

It’s almost like someone with an over the top custom apartment took advantage of their landlord’s patience and their patience ran out.

The problem with that argument is you are pointing to this one particular movie as “video games and movies are the problem” ignoring all the other long-standing violent movies and video games that have not inspired anyone to do anything.

Blame the video games all you want, blame the movies all you want, blame the fucking Joker all you want... The problem will still be the guns.

Stay safe guys. Or alternatively, vote better.
