Worst fucking “writer” here, by leagues. Her contributions are invariably garbage.

Jezebel is horribly wasting a chunk of their salary cap on this D-league troll whose only “talent” is trying to shit on things that no one else ever seems to find any issue with.

Yeah, I watched the whole thing waiting for some kind of big tonal fuckup. It’s not her greatest performance, but it’s certainly not worthy of an entire article’s worth of ire (no matter how satirical it’s meant to be)?

I watched the whole thing and couldn’t even hear what Joan’s talking about. She sounded great.

Uhg, eat shit Joan. Lets see you sing better.

Okay, I have absolutely no stake in defending Simon Cowell but why are you repeatedly dragging on his “20 years younger girlfriend” as though he’s a creepy predator leching after a high school girl? Lauren Silverman is a 43 year old grown-ass adult woman who has her own agency. She is neither a vulnerable child nor

I guess I’d just rather have someone yell at me than infect me with a deadly virus.

I don’t want to work for someone who’s relaxed with regards to wearing masks. It’s apparent that these dumb-fucks didn’t feel it necessary to follow basic health guidelines, and it took Cruise literally screaming at them to get them to wear the damn masks.
No-masks dipshits (based on your reply, it’s apparent you are

Tom Cruise laying down the law on folks who are not taking covid seriously is the most normal thing about him, and the fact that we all haven’t been talking to mask-holes like this from the start suggests there’s something wrong with us.

Oh fuck this, yeah Tom Cruise is a bad person who is wealthy. His rant about the importance of safety and anger towards those not adhering to guidelines during a pandemic is actually reasonable thing. This is stupid, pick a better angle if you wanna talk shit about him. There's so many things.

She'll never stop trying to drain her, financially and emotionally. There is no negotiating with bottomless pits.

“’You can tell it to the people that are losing their fucking homes because our industry is shut down,’ he continued.”

I fully approve of this Cruise rant—he’s not just talking about MI movies, he’s talking about this film setting an example that movies can be made in the time of COVID without being superspreaders IF AND ONLY IF the crew follows the safety protocols in place. It matters, he’s right to lose his shit.

He’s the Exec Producer on those films, so he’s legit the big boss on set, and not just as an actor.

Cruise the human being does suck, but Cruise the actor trying to do his job is like a series of those maximum effort moments in super hero movies distilled into human being form.  He takes that shit seriously.

Tom Cruise sucks but also I appreciate that he’s taking this seriously.

I appreciate the idea, but I don’t think Moby Dick is a great target. One of the main characters is indigenous. There’s also a very sympathetically portrayed homosexual relationship.

The most fucked up part of this whole faux-representation bullshtick is that when you actually step back and look at it, you’re basically saying you are incapable of enjoying movies as fiction, you need the added bonus of real life trauma as experienced by the actors otherwise you won’t like the film.

Okay, so this is massively stupid. An actor’s job is, quite by definition, to portray someone/thing they’re not. Should Dustin Hoffman not have been cast in Rain Man? Was Daniel Day-Lewis the wrong choice for My Left Foot because he doesn’t actually have CP? I don’t think these films are any less effective or

Perhaps it’s just the framing here, but yeah, this isn’t exactly convincing me the students are in the right.
