Some interesting arguments, but I would definitely push back on the statement that in the most “severe” cases, intellectual functioning is intact but because of language or physical impairments, people assume that it isn’t. My push is that in the most severe cases, there is also an intellectual impairment. these cases…
Why the “shhhh”? Unless you want your kiddo to think there is something wrong with with discussing the use of a wheelchair.
We do that at my school. It's the greatest thing ever.

I think the “no sitting” rule is basically everywhere! It is exhausting, especially with special Ed students when they can test for twice as long as everyone else! New York is doing unlimited time this year, so it’s going to be rough!

Well, I would think it has something to do iththe MTA, which oversees the subways, being a different agency than the TLC, which regulates cabs. Not saying the MTA should have rejected this, just that it’s not surprising that two different agencies have different standards.
