Yeh, just reading how he speaks? He’s a fuckin stupid young kid. He should be punished, obviously, but not to the extent of a 27 year old. No way.
Plenty of people come back from being shithead 15 year olds. With the right guidance.

15 year old kid is sleeping with women in their 20s, getting into sexual situations with his adult manager and a man who is nearly 30. Whatever persona he’s cultivated, it still sounds like he’s been victimized and extremely poorly cared for. Makes Justin Beiber’s guardians look good
I am not sure I can look entirely past his age here. It’s fully possible that he’s been groomed and used by two adults to act as a lure on their behalf, whether he realizes that or not.
Spoken like a 14 year old...
well, not to be the downer on a downer — but this kid also sounds sexually exploited. (ref 15 yr old)
I *believe* they are closer to Swiss bank rich than McMansion rich... He was quoted as saying at one point, “don’t you know who my father is, etc,” which sounds more to me like old money crazy rich.
Yeah. Hiding salary only helps the people at the top.
I feel like lottery tickets are a shitty Christmas gift under any circumstances, but for a big shot to give scratch off tix to the crew seems like such a bummer, gift-wise.
Related, if indirectly. This just reminded me that I don’t know the answer to this: if I were pulled over, how do I indicate to the officer pulling me over that I am waiting until we get to an area where I feel safe?
That’s great! I see the whole environmental aspect as only one of the big reasons someone can find to stop eating meat, the other being personal health and of course animal welfare. And depending on the person, there are certain religious justifications too. Usually at least one of those three things will resonate…
This is the best response here and it deserves more stars/attention.
This is what actually got me to stop eating meat last June.
Same here.
Yep. It would take some reconfiguring of our supply lines and the way farms are run, but a large shift is doable in a relatively short time frame. Once there is enough demand for more produce and products, farms and companies would shift to meet that demand, which would bring more people in.
tapzz, “urban” in that factoid includes suburban areas, where most people ARE reliant on personal transport.
If you’re happy with your choices, that’s cool, but there’s nothing in the world that requires you to commute a minimum of 30k miles a year.
One Simple Thing that everybody can do to vastly reduce your carbon footprint while maintaining your car-bound independence is to stop eating meat and dairy. There is a famous UN report that states that cattle alone (not even counting all other farmed animals) account for more greenhouse gasses than all the cars,…
I drive about 30,000 miles a year, and am entirely comfortable with the choices I’ve made. Commuting is not only a fixed part of my human experience, I wouldn’t want to live without it. My commute is my sanctuary, my therapy, my 45 minutes, twice a day, where I can just relax and enjoy being alone. Just me and NPR. I…
100% agree that this is the worst article in a long list of bad articles. That part about I09 really breaks my heart. It is the first site i open when I get to work and I check it throughout the day. I sure hope it maintains some credibility.
