A basic assumption in this idea is flawed: parents have a right to know their kid's online life beyond just "emergencies".

There are a ton of things you can do with jailbreaking that Apple does not allow otherwise. A list here would be to long, but basically includes increased theme and hardware functionality. Essentially breaking out of Apple's "walled garden". There are plenty of online resources if you want to research the benefits of

Which, you know, turns into something else inside the fish than a worm or insect larvae might. Or not.

Iran leaders are not threatening to sink US Navy ships. They are threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz, at least temporarily. They only need to mine the strait. Severely damaged the USS Samuel B. Roberts in 1988. Think of it as asymetric warfare, navy style. You can bet oil shipping will stop until the U.S. brings

Still not sure it's not.

Fine so far? Are you talking about university here? In my experience (for that that's worth) of earning a Bachelor of Science from a renowned USA uni, there are many classes where you have to know more than what the professor teaches you. As soon as you have a professor who tests out of the book you are hosed.

seconded. Hiding in plain sight. Thanks for pointing this out!

My question for those of you who have experience in this matter: please compare the reliability (by which I mean chance of success when restoring critical files and system image) of Acronis TI Home vs Windows Backup (win 7). For a variety of reasons, I am going to go with one of these two, so if you have used both,

Never before has a piano made me feel as if I am inside an MRI machine. Damn, that drilling, pounding "song" is going to echo in my ears as I try to fall asleep tonight.

About those bananas: throw the freakin' things away already!

Actually, I use something similar to this, but Aquapac brand, I think.

Yeah, this is a joke. This is no more functional than putting your iDevice in a waterproof container like this.

My first exposure to the X-Com games was a port to the Pocket PC that I played on my Dell Axim about 6 years ago (yeah, I was behind on software AND hardware). My addiction to this game about cost me a few college classes.

I love this method. I usually skip the towel and mist the garment directly before popping in the dryer.

This does work. Even more effective is a steaming iron. My iron, a cheap model from Wal-Mart, does this.

See, that's the thing. These matches actually do continue to burn, it just doesn't look like it. How else would they reignite after taking them out of the water?

They do, kind of. I once owned a box of these. When you submerge them, they appear to go out. But, once you pull them out of the water, they relight immediately by themselves. Pretty cool. But you won't be lighting any underwater fires with them. If you know of matches that light underwater fires, let me know!
