The studyusually cited is a flawed one that showed that children were better off being raised by a hetero couple than a single parent household. Studies that have compared two parent hetero and same sex couple found that kids from same sex parent households actually did slightly better than their peers.

Did the judge cite any sources of the “research” that children are better off with heterosexual parents? Because I thought the empirical evidence has shown that there is no difference in the development of children raised by homosexual couples.

Sadly there are a significant number of laws out there that amount to “Ha ha! We will pass this law and the problem will be solved forever!” when what’s really needed is ongoing training and inspection.
