He showed up that sick to honor Denzel Washington. Damn.
He showed up that sick to honor Denzel Washington. Damn.
Agreed. He emerged as the moral leader and conscience when both Stark and Rogers were tainted. I felt like he had the same gravitas as Chris Reeve. That iconic level.
“We’ve deconstructed his character to the point of absurdity imo.”
I saw nothing original or interesting.
Absolutely this.
That’s what I was thinking.
Yeah, because basing an entire season on the “mystery” of why a character is missing when we all know the actor left the show did WONDERS for the last genre show that tried that trick( X-Files).
Yeah. And honestly, most of the season FELT like it was done that way. Once the charm wears off, you’re really watching the cut scenes from a video game, Imo.
The failure with Starbuck was horrible.
Took my girlfriend and my best buddy to Avatar. My buddy and I mocked that trash so much she never went to the movies with us again.
That thought crossed my mind, but not as clearly as you beautifully described. Would’ve loved it.
I really can’t see what these writers thought the spiritual or emotional core of this season was. There was nothing to hold onto. I may be done with this show, sadly.
Am interesting point!
I feel less engaged than 2, myself.
Swear I’m not trying to be a contrarian or downer about this show. I loved so much of it as a meditation on our cruelty toward the human image/person.
I agree.
Thanks. I work with incredible people and we are all going through a lot.
Thank you. I’m a hospital chaplain and I’ve lived through a lot already in the last month. This show has been a little oasis of meaning for me.
No, it’s that people who like the show do not give a shit about your priorities and they love something about it that you don’t see or value. I’m not insulting you by saying this. I’m just telling you the truth.
I’m so glad you’re open to accepting that other people may have seen something different than you did or may have valued what was seen differently than you did. It’s wonderful that you can consider other opinions and not feel the need to repeat yourself over and over again.
