best looking depends on what you like looking at, but for me these things are a massive ‘no’.
they’ll hold onto slithers of metal that will damage your knife blade.
they’ll put extra stress on the tang and blade, causing premature wear and damage.
there’s a chance that you’ve not quite got the knife on the block, and it

given that there’s ‘imnsho’ as well for ‘in my not so humble opinion’ there’s only the one option that makes any sense. plus ‘in my humble opinion’ is an actual saying, too.

if you want someone of a similar age, emma watson - gorgeous, ridiculously good actress, and can more than hold her own on talk shows.

yeah, it’s turned into a sort of hobby to an extent, but one that basically gives me a lot of freedom with my content. still hoping they can get kodi running on the xbone, though! plex does the job, but i prefer to use open source wherever i can, if only because i can hack it about (which i did once upon a time to

well, a server is a 24/7 thing. being a developer, i’ve had my own server running for years - just something fun to play with, learn new tech on, and it sort of evolved from just being an expandable media storage box (stick in a few hard drives and share them with samba/nfs) to an email server (because my provider

without a dedicated media server, you’re missing out on many of the capabilities kodi can offer. i’ve got a whole set of a kodi boxes scattered around the house using a shared database, which means i can stop watching downstairs, and carry on upstairs from where i left off. it means that each box knows what i’ve

yup, it’s limited, but imo convenience wins out over niche formats. i don’t even think my amp supports those formats anyway, so it doesn’t bother me too much. i’m more bothered by the xbox one s’ lack of support for dts through plex, which is the only reason i’m still keeping my separate kodi box around for the

ah, then invest in a logitech harmony smart hub - one remote to rule them all! i’ve used logitech harmony stuff for years, and it’s fantastic stuff. it’ll even control the roku (via ip, too, if you like) and the xbox one s works through it too.

there isn’t a kodi ‘channel’ for it, if that’s what you’re after. there is plex, however, which was a fork of kodi many moons back, and that works pretty well through my roku 2 (the second gen one). if you don’t need/want 4k, the 2nd gen roku is an excellent bit of kit, and they’ll be cheap as chips now these ones

kevin spacey - kpax? ordinary decent criminal? the usual suspects?
gary oldman - fifth element? dracula? harry potter? leon?
anthony hopkins - thor? road to wellville?
sorry, but i think you’ve picked some bad examples to make your point- these are all ridiculously talented actors who own pretty much every role

oh, look: ad hominem. how interesting.
i’m done, anyways - i have a rule on internet discussions which is 3-replies-and-gone. the last one was 3, so no more responses from me. bye! enjoy apologising for a company that doesn’t care one jot for you elsewhere!

nope. what improves water resistance is better manufacturing, tighter tolerances, sealing joins, etc. an open headphone port has been waterproof for years on various devices. sony and samsung devices have had a higher waterproof rating than the iphone 7 and open headphone ports for years.
and wow, mpow? you *really*

except it doesn’t. my sony z3c has a headphone jack and better water resistance. every pair of headphones i’ve ever bought has the standard 3.5mm jack. there is *no need* to replace it whatsoever, and even if there were it wouldn’t be with a proprietary connector.
see, there’s a reason why the vast bulk of headphones

because the 3.5mm jack is smaller, serves exactly the same purpose, and very few headphones actually come with the larger jack as standard.

look, just face it, bud: this change is purely about apple saving a few cents per handset to make more profit. it does not, in any way, improve the user’s experience.

maybe. but it’s good to at least have that choice, yes?

Well, they won't buy a new one if they have one already. They'll just think 'sod apple' - like anybody sane would ;)

audiophiles aren’t using iphones to listen to their music, period ;)
but the point is that many audiophiles will still have e.g. portable headphone amps and lightweight in-ear monitors that they’ll use while out and about, and they’ll all be driven from a standard jack socket.
if apple had adopted usb instead of

they can prefer all they like - audiophiles prefer to have that control themselves, thank you very much. you build a dac into the headphone, and you remove the possibility of being able to replace it with one that you prefer. again, you remove a choice from the consumer.
and if you think apple won’t still charge the

actually, sony devices are waterproof and retain the port quite happily. have done since the early days of the z-series, including on my z3c.
you can choose to get rid of the wire personally without getting rid of the port for those people who still want it. i often use a bt adapter at the gym or in my car, for

personally, the fact that the so-called ‘high end audio manufacturers’ aren’t actually named makes me think that they’re talking crap.
fact is, very few audiophile products will want built-in amps and dacs, because they’ll want to use their own. very few audiophiles will want to use wireless connections. as such, very
