i can remember pre-blu ray there were dvd editions (ultra, was it?) where they stripped out all of the cruft and gave you the highest quality version of the movie and audio on a dvd. no extras, no commentaries - just the movie. that was perfect.

constantine was born in liverpool, but ran away to london in his teens, so his accent should be scouse with a hint of cockney layered on top. add in that matt ryan is actually welsh, and it’s going to sound a little ‘off’ as effectively you’ve got a welshman doing a scouse accent with a cockney twang on the top.

it’s a welshman trying to do a scouser who’s picked up a bit of a london accent from living in the city. speaking as a scouser, i don’t think he did too badly, really, on the accent front.
