My brother and I had a good time getting tea in a shop that overlooked that causeway and watching the tide come in while dumb tourists still tried to walk across.

Also, here’s a pic of me standing on one of these causeways (this road, which bridges the Cornwall mainland with the tidal island of St Michael’s Mount, was underwater two hours after this pic).
Savages.
Yes. The roads are underwater during high tide.
Wait, so England has regular roads that are under water part of the time? Or was there some weather event beyond the regular tide causing this?
It’s the illusion of relief.
Would something like Jamberry, Origami Owl, Keep, ItWorks!, etc fall under the ‘wealth building’ category? Because holy shit. I would estimate about 20% of my SAHM friends now sell for one of those companies and they are constantly trying to make people hold parties or sign on under them. They spent money to buy…
If you consolidate your debt and you have a financial hardship you will now default on one big loan, rather than having the flexibility to pay off the most important (like car loan) first. A quick trip to losing everything, including your ability to get to work.
If you make a cop get sweaty, dirty, or scared: you’re likely to find them in a foul mood. From a friend with 30 years as a deputy sheriff
Reading comprehension FTW.
He got lucky then, and probably kept moving until he got into a house. Trees don’t make a great cover for modern thermal cameras any more. They can pick up even small amounts of heat bleeding through the tree cover now.
Police vehicles ought to be speed limited to the posted limit.
Nah, those officers will keep you handcuffed on the ground or against a solid object until backup arrives with four doors.
I’m sure they don’t put anybody in the back seat, they’ll just call a 4 door unit
Some of the Deputy Sheriffs in my county (Richland County, South Carolina) drive Dodge Challenger R/Ts. They’re sweet. Always wondered what it’s like to shove people into the back seat though
$1600 a wheel is still cheaper than the carbon fiber, I’ll bet. (TBH, I’m not sure what the CF wheels cost.) Plus, carbon fiber tends to break spectacularly in crashes, where alloys just dent and stuff. CF’s probably a tad sturdier in wheel form, but my bet’s on “carbon confetti” as the biggest reason.
Ford does it right - you can order these cars from the parts counter at any dealership. The last one, the Boss 302S, was $85k. I expect this one to come in between $99,000 and $110,000. In comparison a Cayman GT4 Clubsport is $145,000.
18" Forgeline aluminum wheels? Hmmmm.... Priced around $1600 a wheel. Some GT4 regulation against carbon fiber wheels or did they not stand up to the rigors of racing? Or some other reason I wonder...
Spoke to the McLaren Factory folks at the USGP. Expect to see a 570 GT4 next year in IMSA, and in Pirelli the following year.
By far the best things to come out of SEMA that don’t involve rhinestones are the race cars that somehow sneak into…
