Correct. The moment it’s 15 years old, it’s legal for import. This one would be owned by a Canadian, who simply drove it to the USA for a visit.

I’m planning for the future. It won’t be illegal to import R34s forever. I’m trying to estimate what it will cost to do so when they do become legal.
I dig them with a little ducktail/gurney flap
Serious question. What would it cost to import one today? What’s the price of a clean used R34 in Japan. I understand they’re not yet 25 years old and they can’t yet be imported. I’m just trying to figure out if this is a $30,000 budget or a $60,000 budget.
I like to think of the Skyline as a Japanese Mustang, albeit with more variants, with the GT-R being like a Cobra R/Shelby and the turbo variants being like the GT, and so forth. Not meant to be an insult, just how they would be perceived by a Japanese person. The average person isn’t an enthusiast, so they see a…
Some cars are ruined by a wing. On the contrary I can’t imagine an R34 without one.
Nah, it was always a good-looking car. It’s just more interesting after years of bean-shapes followed by the angry-face and into the current Imarobot era. Another example of this effect is the S2000.
Canadian car. I think they can bring them in at 15 years instead of the 25 year wait in the US.
The pure distilled essence of ugly that is the R35 has really increased appreciation for the R34.
Is it just me, or is the R34 aging better than I thought it is?
I don’t mind that, especially compared to that horrible looking hourglass grill all of the Lexus cars are being punished with.
That is how I read it first, but rereading it shows the Sheriff is trying to let it go but the CHP wants to get him for riding a OHV in highway airspace.
From what I gleaned, there’s a difference between the Sheriff’s Dept and CHP. I’m not 100% sure though. Seems like the Sheriff’s Dept is looking for excuses to let it slide, but the CHP is looking for charges.
And how do you identify a guy with a helmet on from 100 feet away?
What did he destroy, and how do you trespass on public land?
Huh. Never heard of that before, but it’s interesting. Not really sure why one would call that a forging but what do I know, I’m only an aerospace engineer.
Unless, of course, it is piloted by your typical track-suit-wearing lambro, in which case, it won’t make it around the Nurburgring at all.
Don’t forget it will get around the Nurburgring in somewhere between 6 and 8 minutes.
Holy hallelujah, the car show is back. For a while there, my Sundays were spent looking forward to Game of Thrones an…
