I’m speccing out a Camry. When it comes time to sell, we’ll see who has the last laugh.
Cars typically are pretty big.
“tell me the route is changing because of an incident or a faster one is found”
You seriously want GLaDOS as your navigator? That bitch tries to kill me every time I hear her...
For many years I was under the impression that it’s illegal to warn other drivers of a speed trap, but federal courts have ruled that it’s protected under free speech. Some police departments have actually come out in favor of Waze’s alerts because they encourage safe driving which is really the purpose of a speed…
It’s a neighborhood of DC. And a city in Maryland. It’s confusing. But yes, it’s a place. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chevy_Cha…
You have a street called Chevy Chase? Whaaat.
Keep right at the fork....
This is good to know as I just accepted a job offer in Bethesda, inside the beltway. Hopefully Waze can help lessen the pain of my new commute.
There was some complaining from PDs about this feature. Not sure where that ended up, but I’d hate this feature to go away.
I don't even speed that much, I just want to be aware so I don't get a ticket for having crept up.
I’d use any software that featured GLaDOS as the verbal assistant. And when you’re finished, i’d hope she’d sing this:
The main reason I use Waze almost exclusively is that it seems to be the only navigation app that understands time-of-day turn restrictions. In the Washington DC area many turns are disallowed at certain times of the day. Some roads are closed on weekends. Rock Creek Parkway even reverses direction for rush hours. And…
Google has been adding some of the wave feature set into Google Maps, like traffic conditions and road closures.
I think they keep them separate as every Waze user knows it is a ‘social application’ and may be inaccurate due to the nature of that as a result.
Google Maps however, must be pretty darn rock solid and…
Plus Waze has Morgan Freeman as a voice option.
Turbo Yoda actually points that out in an episode. They had a hookup for a custom fabricated inlet manifold but it was proving to be too logistically difficult, so they went with the stock one. He says it’s a strange design because it looks transverse, but it is longitudinal.
Mr. Tracy is correct. Luxury minivans exist. They all just stay in Asia b/c we Americans have a weird aversion to minivans and an unhealthy obsession with SUVs. Having ridden in a bunch of luxury minivans in Hong Kong, Korea and China, I can attest that they are very nice and preferable to sedans or SUVs in a dense…

Hong Kong’s got it all figured out.
I’ve met folks from Hong Kong whose dream cars are minivans. It’s a crazy idea to us, but just look at those vans. They’re awesome.
Andrew,
