There actually is a lot in her story that makes sense. For example, it is entirely possible that “drugs didn’t really work” AND that she became dependent on them (this happens to lots of people).

I had no idea she was this qualified to be President.
They forgot to photoshop in Black people.
You see, ladies, there’s the fake meeting/conference and the real meeting/conference.
They’re nerds. I am sure this isn’t the first time they’ve Photoshopped a woman into a picture with them.
I only knew Jim DeRogatis for his incredible (and genuinely moving: you can see DeRogatis generally loved the subject) book on Lester Bangs “Let It Blurt”. But besides being a great reviewer, he turns out to be a great guy and someone who does his best to do good. We need more folks like him in the world right now.…
I can only assume that you mean in a series of 50 very hidden, very secure safes that you found on a pallet adjacent to the Costco jewelry section.
I assume such a package is carried only at this Costco.
I’m just shocked that it was a single ring. Given it’s Costco, I figured it was a box of 50 diamond rings.
Well she’s specifically learning, traveling to SF routinely—which is quite a commitment in order to tackle prison reform, which is the opposite of what she’s been criticized for, that’s good enough for me. I always say DO something with whatever you got. Next 10 years can be telling.
What kind of goat’s blood milk is she drinking? She looks incredible!
Gabrielle Union is treasure and I would like to thank her for sharing that story. Cause it’s one for the books. #thatsoldnavy
I’ll take “vapid but nice” over “shrewd but awful” any day of the week! Maybe I should reconsider my eye-roll reflex...
I’d bet she’s complaining about someone being racist or sexist. Kim is a lot better than people think.
As someone who’s struggled with anorexia/exercise bulimia from about age 10 or 11, I can confirm this is a thing.
It was worded a little awkwardly, but that’s how it came across to me too.
It’s not uncommon:
I think it’s called evolving. You start out a vapid, fame-whoring, Paris Hilton friend, become uber-famous then shit gets old, you grow up and change your ways. Go get that law degree, Kim.
I think what she may actually be saying - badly - is that the issue she’s contacting them about is a neutral one. It doesn’t have anything to do with her directly because no one realized who she was, but instead there was an issue that was affecting everyone in the store at the time.
She wasn’t complaining because no one recognized her. She was saying, “Because no one recognized me, I was able to observe something that happened to someone else at the restaurant.”
