That's true. I read this site looooooong before I became a somewhat regular commenter. Before it even had a comment section. (I still miss the Films That Time Forgot feature *sniff*.) Maybe we bump the number up to 1% of total readership…?

It's a good question. Hopefully, you'll be able to channel your energies in way that has more impact down the line. I do a lot of volunteer advocacy work and have learned to pitch in when I can and not waste much energy on missed opportunities. There will always be work to do in, unfortunately, too many areas.

Another issue may be that African-American actors think there's a trend of British black actors getting the choicest roles in American films when the odds are already against them. I remember that popped up when David Oyelowo got the starring role in Selma.
