Same. And came here to say the men’s room never ran out of soap, which was gross.

Historical accuracy in representation of the Holocaust is everything. I agree with the Museum. By making up atrocities, it provides fuel to the deniers. Also? Is this really what we need right now? How about some documentaries that show the parallels of 1934-1945 to 2016-?

I cannot imagine a better duo than Warren and Castro and would have been fine with either on top. What the hell is happening here!

LOL! You got me! Shabbat Shalom, sis!

This is not very Jewish of you, sir. We invite guests because it’s our duty to feed people.

Ashley, these are probably people who make grilled cheese with brie and Gruyere.

Anyone else not shocked that a dude can find relief and justice in court on a side issue when the subject is rape? smdh

We are Jews and this comment really speaks to me. Thank you.

Who else here feels a helplessness of the highest level? Let’s say this is Hitler’s Germany, 1933, and the Reichstag is burning. What in the world do we do about it? Pretty sure if I tried to actually see my reps in person I’d be carried away.

I don’t think any of it is malicious. I’ve said since the beginning it was tone-deaf and deserving of scorn.

But if your book was on the plight of an abused and oppressed people, would you trivialize a tool of the oppression as nail art? If I wrote a book about Japanese internment camps, I wouldn’t get barbed wire nail art.

The book may or may not be good - I’ll never know - but what caught my attention the most (in a bad way) was Cummins’ tone-deafness in getting a barbed-wire manicure and having a “cute” barbed-wire wrapped themed book signing party, etc. Like, HEY, I just wrote a book on Dachau! We’re going to have fake arm tattoos

Excellent points! The first time I saw Paul and Mary bringing the bouquets of flowers to the final three I was so charmed. To be fair, there is a prize - the glass cake stand. :-)

I believe The Great British Baking Show may be the exception. I know people will say Paul is a jackass, but I think what tempers that is the way everyone else mocks Paul right in front of him. I find this show very soothing.

I love Larson, too. I’d read Devil in White City and it was on Twitter where I saw people discussing his other books and so got Garden of Beasts at the library. I’m going to read Rise & Fall by Shirer and then go back and start blasting through Larson’s other works.

Please forgive me for the reference to Nazi Germany, but I just finished reading In the Garden of Beasts by Erik Larson, which is a book about the US ambassador and his family living in Germany in the mid-thirties. This book was written almost 10 years ago so there’s no way Larson could have known how much the Third

You’ve clearly never encountered a tour bus full of Germans. In New Mexico.

Why in the world would you take the risk?
