@jepzilla: Doesn't it work both ways though? On the one hand, we have your appropriate description about websites being charged or being excluded by ISPs. On the other hand, ISPs could create tiers, thereby charging the customers different rates based on what they want.

@theCR4NE: I really must be missing something in this article, since most of the comments so far seem to deviate from the point the article is making. Maybe I'm just missing something major?

@sdbeach: While this may be helpful to pay bills on time, how does that help you set aside funds for retirement, savings, etc.? Do you have a method to allocate funds over time into specific types of accounts?

@sdbeach: I think this deviates strongly from the point of the article. If a person misses a credit card payment because he is forgetful, that's an entirely different issue than not being able to allocate funds such that you can save money over time. The automation he discusses assumes that the end-user of this advice

Luckily, I have a laptop I keep around simply to use as a backup in case my desktop has issues (for example when I waited for my mobo to be RMA'd). It's a lot less fun, but it's better than nothing.

I simply can't agree with a lot of things in that article. Yes, reusable things like paper towels can be replaced by a towel you can wash. Okay, I get that.

@Liam is now a photo editor: Unless there was an edit after your comment, CCleaner is under the "Clogged with crapware" section.

@RainyDayInterns: Perhaps that's the exact reason why the notes are left anonymously. Some people who are "asshole parkers" might be assholes in general. If they are aggressive or violent, the "consequences," as you put it, could be elevated to assault or vandalism. This is meant to inform people of their behavior

@AnotherCasualObserver: That sounds like quite the incentive. I wonder if it carries over into their non-work parking behavior.

@jupiterthunder: Probably so. People forget the days before there were websites that automatically gave you the correct number of servings and ingredients for that serving size (such as allrecipes.com), or before there were calculators or mental math.

@shazaam42: I dare to say that at least 50% of science is pretty bad. This includes all the published articles that are completely wrong, the ones that are somewhat wrong, and the ones that strongly imply that the authors just wanted another publication under their belts so they put out something mediocre. And if

But I want a BOGO for pumpkin drinks! Man, the pumpkin is really abused, only getting a lot of hype around halloween and then relegated to canned pumpkin the rest of the year :(

Some of the tips are good tips in general for getting rewards, cash back, getting double points for purchases you'd already make, or something similar along those lines. However, I do disagree with the idea to sign up for credit cards and open bank accounts simply to rack up points/miles. Plenty of articles on LH

Saw this on TV as I started reading this article. EERIE!

I would never use Facebook email, let alone drop Gmail for it.

@Chris.VM.Associates: I WANT ONE!!! Seriously, if a restaurant carried this I would order it, whether or not there were healthy items on the menu. Way to distract me from the article...

@Z_Naught: As swc oxcart was mentioning, google does its own basic testing. In addition, Firefox also has built-in phishing and malware protections, see: [www.mozilla.com] for details. I'm sure that other browsers, especially Chrome, likely have similar security features built in. You should read up on what your

I am disappointed that Web of Trust made this list. Despite how popular it is, I still believe it to be underwhelming and misleading. While it does the the obvious benefit of possibly warning a novice user from going to a potentially malicious website, there are several underlying flaws. As far as I am concerned, the

@Sandeep Gonsalves: Think of it this way - June 1 to October 1 is summer. Summer is filled with lots of people who don't have school anymore, so vacations for anyone in that group can automatically go up (including parents with kids). Even people outside of this category might want to just get away to somewhere
