Dollars to donuts, this didn’t end in police action because one of the three women involved is an attorney and head of her local NAACP chapter.

I work for a public library and to get the police to show up someone has to have a gun on the premises, so I fine the line that police would “err on the side of caution” laughable.

I get this but feel the police encourage this hyper policing of black people. Also would love listen to that 911 call, guarantee the callers straight up mentioned race or codedly indicated these weren’t the right kind of people they wanted in their club.

The problem, I’m guessing, is that the police want to err on the side of caution in case something goes wrong, and they were a no show. It’s not fair, but it’s the right thing to do. If some idiot clutches his diamond encrusted kravat and calls 911 over black people golfing, there’s no telling what other lengths he’d

The American police exist solely to cater to white bodies, fears, tears and paranoid hallucinations. Why would the cops make this trip out over a complaint of leisurely golfers? Where is the crime here that the police upon getting this call deemed it necessary to spend tax payer dollars investigating? Counties need to

My guess is she’s the one with the business sense. Money is money, regardless of who it comes from, and shitty PR, especially after the LA Gym and Starbucks fiascos, can destroy a business.

Whenever someone makes an offensive joke or comment to me, I always play dumb and make him explain it to me so he can get real explicit about his bigotry.

She might have been the only one who saw the behavior as problematical.

So they sent the wife to do the dirty work of apologizing on behalf of the men. Classy.

It’s pretty simple to understand - if Trump succeeds in his agenda, the country does not. He works mainly for himself, his kids, and his billionaire buddies, whose interests don’t normally align with 99% of the American people. So of course we don’t root for him to succeed.

Because it has nothing to do with taxes and everything to do with the fact that Bezos owns the Washington Post which has said some bad and true things about him, so he doesn’t like him. This isn’t governance.

Amazon is one of the reasons the post office still exists so he’s wrong there.

THANK FUCKING GOD THIS STORY FINALLY BROKE. I use to work in animation. “Use to” being the key phrase here. It is such a toxic environment for women; an environment in which we’ve had to keep silent for so long. I have my own road to get my truth out and I can’t wait till it finally gets out there.

If Trump thinks Amazon pays no sales tax (it pays sales tax in 45 states) and that USPS loses money on Amazon (package delivery is one of its profitable businesses), I may be gaining a better understanding of why he has declared bankruptcy so many time.

Amazon Prome members can get WaPo online for 4 dollars a month. Money well spent, say I.

A year before he started assaulting her. A fucking CHIIIIIILLLLLLD.

Oh goddammit. I loved “Ren & Stimpy.”

I can confirm an adjacent story of a girl I went to college with. She was 18-19, worshiped John K., met him at an event with her boyfriend, where instead of an autograph, he promptly invited her to an after party. She didn’t end up going but eventually got back in contact with him. After that they started meeting up

“In response to the allegations in Lange’s story, his attorney writes that the 1990s were a time of “mental and emotional fragility” for Kricfalusi and that he has stabilized his life over the past decade”

Sessions is a puzzle. It feels like within his unique moral construct, he has this fastidious sense of propriety. Every now and then, it overlaps with a more conventional sense of propriety. It’s confusing to watch.
