Former co-workers are saying he used to spout hatred against gays all the time and quite openly in the workplace. He also hated black people as well. He just sounded like an asshole all around. He also beat his first wife.

I know I sure as hell don’t get it. I can’t fathom what would drive someone to do something like this.

Someone on Twitter said this was his 18th time addressing the nation on a mass shooting. I'd be defeated too.

True. Sad, but true. The saddest thing is that I made the mistake of going to online newspaper coverage and the comments are even worse than they are at Gawker. A lot of people who hate both Muslims and gays are celebrating this shooting. And they call themselves Americans. My heart hurts at this.

When I saw this yesterday I actually had to get up from my computer and go outside to get some fresh air lest I throw my laptop through the window.

Not surprised. Comment sections are the worst of the worst. The only good ones are here- even with some trolls getting through, this comment section here at Jezebel is an oasis of sanity and relief.

It’s a great documentary especially for someone like me who wasn’t alive during that time and loves history.

I hope she goes for full custody of the kids and that the dad can only be around the kids under supervised visitation. He’s already proven he’s too dumb or lazy to watch his kids properly by leaving loaded guns on tables where any kid can reach them.

Well the medical examiner came straight out and said that even though Amy Joyner had a heart condition, the fight and getting assaulted caused her heart to fail. So here’s hoping that counts and doesn’t allow for leniency.
