I think she has always said they remain friends which is just so bizarre to me. I could never remain friendly with someone who beat the shit out of me and I know I would be all super-judgy if any of my friends or family did as well. At least they never had kids out of their relationship.

Same here. In the back of my mind I had a feeling she had been raped or basically kept as a sex slave but I was hoping upon hope that it wasn’t true. Now my worst fears have been confirmed. What an awful captivity to endure. I feel so bad for her family.
