Gawker’s comment section has been atrocious the last couple of weeks. I really do think the editors over there are deliberately starring racist, awful comments in order to get a conversation going but it has backfired. The weird thing is that Zimmerman never considered himself Hispanic until he killed Trayvon Martin. Whenver he filled out applications he always checked off the “White” box. After the shooting all of a sudden he embraced being a Hispanic.

I agree with this. Obviously the wages of servers needs to be higher but since that probably isn’t coming anytime soon, people who go out to eat need to leave a decent - or at least MINIMUM 15% - tip. My friends or family and I always tip at least 20-30%. The service has to be really, really awful for us to tip less.

He also got a lot of hate when he came out against GamerGate. I think he left Twitter for a while there too because he was getting so many hateful responses. More and more people are just deciding that Twitter isn’t worth it and the Twitter powers-that-be don’t care about any harassment or abuse.
