I think younger generations of that demo are friendlier, they just call it "Americana". Dump demos and make it a smaller event. Or make have a weekend where every night focuses on a different genre: Roots (country + blues), Shoots (rock), and Leaves (hip hop + dance).

Go where the need is: country radio has publicly and loudly excluded women from its programming. Kacey Musgraves, Gillian Welch, Rhiannon Giddens, Morgane Stapleton, Rissi Palmer, Allison Krauss, Dixie Chicks, Mickey Guyton, and Brandy Clark.

That's a bullshit justification for being manipulative and violating other's boundaries, like the mafia guys justifying their abuse of the desperate. As a society, that's why we strive to live under the rule of law and an equitable entitlement of citizenship, in order for everyone to live in a functional community,

The real question is how did they not embrace her being a villain during season 2? One of the reasons I quit watching were the heavy-handed, clunky "white hat" speeches and symbolism around a definitively horrible person. The only thing the series has gained now is a (very) long delayed sense of self-awareness.

So, I want every woman that has to interact with Sessions to laugh at him, at all times, regardless of context. Sessions picks up his dry cleaning—laughing clerk, goes thru toll booth—laughing as they take his cash, bank—laughing teller, walking along sidewalk—nothing but passing women laughing at him.

The thing is…it's not a wide history of LGBT. It's the history of the Baby Boomers LGBT activism, with the expected moment of Boomer contempt towards everyone else. I'd like to see a wider net cast. Put the Boomer sense of victimhood in context of earlier struggles. Also, actually include the B, instead of using it as

I love that montage, so classic. Chris Evans seems to be having a blast doing it. More than his character Steve Rogers might.

I wish this show was still being reviewed. I didn't have Starz until recently and finally saw it on a snow day marathon. Season 1 is by far the worst season, with the first episode as the worst. Thankfully, it was on in the background until it improved. Now, I'm hooked. Season 2 is better, and 3 is great. It's like

I dunno if social media strategy is the biggest problem. I'm one of the Colbert Show fans the dropped away from Late Night. Part of it is the skits aren't landing and go on too long, the rest is the celebrity-fluff interviews are painfully awkward. Non-fluff interviews are still great. As much as I find James Corden

Same here.

Unfair of them. Sorghum is awesome. It gives you sugary syrup, edible grain, gluten-free flour, liquor, fuel, and brooms. Everything corn can do, but better. Woe to those who underestimate the value of sorghum.

Lemmy is God. In a fight against himself, he would win.

Yes! I'm the Strange Days fan who's been waiting for this moment of validation.

Excellent. They're one of the few (only?) bands that made heavy metal that could be chipper or amusing without losing its power. And it's released just in time for all those new Hellcat's ready for their first drive.

Ding-ding-ding! Yeah, for all his complaining about reading comprehension, he was the one not paying attention. Plus, being a douche about it. And he wonders why people pin him with the biphobe label.

To be fair, I think there's an argument to be made that something vital is lost once an artist achieves a certain level of cultural standing. Once they're able to be advocated by the completely risk-averse, the messy alive part of their art can be ossified. That said, the reason for rejecting it shouldn't be

My point is that I don't think emotional repression is the absence of anger. It's the absence of being connected to the world as a human being. People aren't not angry; they're just…not.

I couldn't say. I honestly havent heard, or can't remember hearing, enough Linkin Park to make a comparison of music. I remember the name, but not much beyond a Wikipedia intro. My first impulse is to throw out the word "legitimate". I don't like the idea of credentials. My second is to say many ARE creators of music

That's boredom or mild annoyance, not anger.

I can see that. I also think that social media, aside from its merits as an artist's business tool, is a huge generator of self-consciousness, which kills creativity.
