With all due respect to Trinity and Monet (well, as much as I can muster, anyway), the all-star winner this season was Manila Luzon. Just like last season’s true all-star winner, she just wasn’t there for the finale.

The other two All Stars winners earned it. For the first time in Drag Race herstory, the winner got the crown from a handicap!
For just about any other show, I’m generally spoiler-insensitive. But tell me about the most shocking RPDR gag, and I’ll come to your room at night and cut your wigs up.
We were commenting tonight on my couch that the candy pastel fantasy tonight was stunning in palette - but that the silhouette and proportions were just... off.
Dela was losing steam and probably figured it was the best chance to go out on her own terms. I don’t think she was thinking ‘everyone will think it’s my win really.” We saw in her original season, she doesn’t like confrontation and this season has been SUPER confrontational.
Hopefully season four is years from now you don’t want this show to become like Project Runway All Stars. Which is on season six by the way and features mostly designers you have a hard time remembering.
I actually didn’t find this twist shocking at all. Telegraphed pretty hard since the start of the ep, and Dela’s ennui has been emphasized since last ep.
I was so excited for an Andy Warhol Ball, but it really did fall flat. They could have kept the can and the disco look, but I feel like it would have made more sense overall if there was something in between those two. Maybe a Factory superstar look or something? The mini-challenge was definitely inspired by that…
Seriously- one part of the challenge was obscuring your body and the other part was creating a disco garment. Shangela half-assed the look, hands down, and was deservingly knocked for it.
Random ‘pinions:
Milk’s inflated ego is ridiculous. She and Chi Chi should have swapped places. And GODDAMN whenever Thorgy is struggling she turns so bitter. Also gurl, there were plenty of talented queens in season 8- you didn’t lose the crown because of Bob. My pet hate with the Queens is when they’re told to do something in…
