It’s just a matter of time before a car goes all the way through the fence and in to the crowd. Something MORE must be done. This clearly isn’t the best solution for the fans or the drivers. Thank God nobody was killed.

I do remember these races! Plea to racing... please bring back the clutch pedal and gear shift lever! So many race organizations are trying to slow cars down now-days. Perhaps simply mandate a clutch pedal and shift lever with mechanical activation of the gears in the gear box. That simple change would (1) increase

Actually, I like the show a lot. It all works, except Chris Evans. After the second episode I would simply record the show so I could fast forward through anything with him in it. The rest was good though. Bring on the second season. Change nothing other than waving “LATER!” to Chris Evans. Very grateful he’s gone.

My 2012 TDI wagon = buy back + walk away. Never again VW, never again.

I still watch Top Gear, but only on the DVR. That way I can now fast forward through ANYTHING with Chris Evans. The rest is good!

They can fix mine by dropping the GTI motor in there. That’d be fine by me!

Heel on the brake, toe on the throttle. I do it all the time. My pedals are hinged on the floor, which was odd to get used to at first. It now feels more natural and pedals hinged from the top feel odd.

THIS, exactly this. Evans sucks. He’s trying to be the “Old Fat Man” at every turn and fails. Just get rid of him and put Chris Harris in there. The show has GREAT presenters, other than Evans. Just get rid of Evans, get rid of the “head host” format, and go with the rest of the staff, who are all really great!

I’ve learned my lesson. I bout this new in 2012 and VERY much regret it. I actually love the car! Good power, great mileage, wagon, practical, etc. Now though?... VW couldn’t pay me to drive their cars again. As soon as this one is bought back (hopefully) I’ll move on to that awesome looking, non-smog cheating, Daewoo

Setting aside the fact that I loathe the ginormous Audi grills (have since day one), the S5 simply looks heavy (as well as actually BEING heavy). Everything is too large. There’s just so much sheet metal (or alu, or whatever) all over the place. It’s like fitting a huge muffin top in a size small Target-brand tank top.

I was sitting in section C for this race. It was such a farce. We left due to fights in the stands. F#@$ Michelin, never buying their product again (and haven’t). Also, took me seven years to watch F1 again, I’m still not all that enthused about it any longer and regularly skip watching races. I’ll never go to an F1

Brand new VW GTI with DSG. I had one for a week as a rental (the local VW stealership LOST MY KEYS!). I was initially excited as I’ve owned GTIs in the past. Sure, it was fast(er), but the thing was just plain annoying! SO many little electronic parts/lights/bits to go wrong; it made me question their value at all!

This was the breakout hit for me that year. LOVED this movie. Super fun. Just pure fun.

There’s no way I’m paying $10+ to watch a video game. Forget it.

How about a 2,500 lbs car with 250 hp? Not super fast, but def. enough to get in trouble with. Super fun on tight and twisty roads.

“The Crate” scared the crap out of me. I saw it when I was 12. The “thing in the crate” was not revealed for a very long time, building up the intensity. I’ve not seen it since, but I remember it well.

That was more interesting, if not slightly less technically sophisticated, as Formula 1.

All the drawbacks of a motorcycle with none of the benefits.

Sean, well written. Agreed.
