Some good points but I don't believe that artists should be held responsible for idiots not understanding their work

In the Season 20 commentary they clarified that they were not necessarily gong to back off Trump. If they feel like doing an episode about him they will (that's why they left Garrison as president) but they don't have anything planned because they always figure out what they're doing a week before they air a show.
Exactly!
Even if that were all true, it's still a huge fuck up to can the directors this late into production. How do you hire comedy directors and watch them make a comedy for 4 moths before deciding they are not right for the film. This feels like it's going to be a mess.
Their whole brand is to make terrible ideas into great movies. A Han Solo prequel is a terrible idea so it made sense to me to give them a shot.
Huge delays? Production is now going till September for a May 2018 film. She fucked up big time by hiring comedy directors if the studio didn't want a comedy.
Pulling the directors out this late into production is a massive fuck up no matter how you slice it. Specially when it sounds like they got canned for doing what they are best at.
The only one of those movies that's better than The Lego Movie or 22 Jump Street is Empire Strikes Back.
Guys, they're both terrible.
If I ever open a coffee shop I'm going to label my half & half containers just "1."
Given that this is Joss Whedon and Warner Bros this has a high percentage to fall apart during production.
won this one, though.
Milo's downfall was caused by the attention he received on the show. So yeah, he actually "really helped, bruh" so he deserves claim credit. He's a dick about it but that's his shtick.
Milo is done thanks to his appearance on the show. The exposure he gained on it stopped him. You should be happy he was on it even if Maher didn't necessarily laid the smackdown on him.
The A..V Club's five articles talking about him from the last 2 weeks beg to differ. I mean I've never heard of the CPAC prior to this week but that's just me.
It doesn't matter whether or not it was the right decision or whether Maher knew what would happen or not. Milo's career was destroyed by his appearance on the show. Therefore a prominet alt-right's leader was stopped on his tracks by Maher. That is what happened.
I think more people care about what's on HBO than the CPAC to be honest.
It's a bad article. Even if you don't like Maher(which I totally get) this argument is stupid.
Maher represents a point of view that's underrepresented in late night political comedy which makes him stand out. Oliver, Colbert, Bee, Meyers, and The Daily Show are all made with people with more or less the same views. To deem him irrelevant is too say there is only room for one set of beliefs in this game which I…
People went out looking for stuff Milo had said in the past because of the attention he received due to his appearance on the show. That means it was caused directly by the show.
