Well said. Very very very good points and perspective.

"our land"?

Haha. Best comment.

The true life story is compelling and riveting.

More good points.

The sad thing is, Selma (have yet to see it) is probably way better than 12 Years, which I found to be not that good from a filmmaking perspective, but nonetheless an absolutely riveting and compelling true story that needed to be told.

Good point.

Good point. I have not yet seen Selma nor do I agree or disagree with the writer's entire piece.

"explores American history through the lens of black characters. Historically, that’s not the kind of film the 94 percent white, 77 percent male Academy is interested in."
